Last year we were delighted to reveal that we’d achieved British Standard (BS) 8577 accreditation for our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients. Now, we’re thrilled to have secured the award again, plus we’ve gone one step further and have been awarded ISO 22222 for the first time.
The ISO 22222 is the only international quality standard for financial planning. It assesses financial planners on their ability to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, experience and ethical value to consistently deliver a high-quality service to each client.
Damien and the rest of the Otter team underwent a rigorous assessment process to secure the certification. The assessment covers a range of different areas, from ethical principles through to demonstrating continual improvement. The areas covered are all ones that we pride ourselves on delivering to clients and by meeting the benchmark we ensure that our service is consistently of the high-quality clients expect from us.
Commenting on the ISO 22222 accreditation, the assessor said: “Damien works extremely hard to be the best possible version of himself. This determination will see him and Otter Financial achieve great things.”
We also met the BS 8577 accreditation, which, again, demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional services to our clients. Learn more about the BS 8577 here.

We’re now one of just a handful of financial planning firms in the UK to hold both these prestigious awards.
